Worked example

An illustration, not a tip: four selections all at 2/1 (3.0 decimal), £1 per line, all four win.

With only one winner at 2/1, the single returns £3 and the other 14 bets lose — a loss of £12 on the £15 stake. Multiples look attractive because the rare all-winners outcome pays a lot; most of the time they lose.

Each way Lucky 15

Each way doubles the bet to 30 lines. Each line has a win part and a place part; place parts use the place terms (for example 1/4 or 1/5 of the odds) and pay if the selection wins or places. Choose “Each way: Yes” and the right place terms in the calculator.

Frequently asked questions

What is a Lucky 15 bet?

A Lucky 15 is 15 bets on four selections: 4 singles, 6 doubles, 4 trebles and 1 four-fold accumulator. Only one selection needs to win for a return.

How much does a Lucky 15 cost?

Fifteen times your stake per line. A £1 Lucky 15 costs £15; each way it is 30 bets and costs £30.

How much does a Lucky 15 pay if all four win?

It depends on the odds. As an illustration, four winners at 2/1 with £1 per line return £255: £12 from singles, £54 from doubles, £108 from trebles and £81 from the four-fold.

Do bookmakers pay bonuses on Lucky 15s?

Many UK bookmakers add their own Lucky 15 promotions, such as boosted odds when only one selection wins or a bonus when all four win. These vary by bookmaker and are not included in the calculator.

Almost. A Yankee is the same 11 doubles, trebles and four-fold but without the four singles, so it needs at least two winners for a return.
